With so many events being cancelled this year, to the frustration of both businesses and visitors, afpop, Portugal’s largest association for foreign residents and property owners, has taken the initiative to move the 20th edition of its annual Better Living in Portugal Exhibition (BLiP EXPO) on-line this October.
Our Moving to Portugal visitors will remember that afpop have presented at our seminars and shows, and this year the Chamber will be a virtual exhibitor at the Blip EXPO online.
afpop CEO Michael Reeve explains “The Portimão Arena is not available to us this year as it is serving as a field hospital, but we do not want BLiP to be yet another casualty of the pandemic. By March this year we already had a very healthy 40+ businesses committed to this year’s exhibition and many of these have been regular exhibitors over the years. We want to support these businesses as they are still open and offering their goods and services to customers old and new. So we have redesigned our website bliportugal.com to allow exhibitors to have their own ‘virtual’ stand at BLiP EXPO on-line.”
This site will be open 24 hours a day, for 9 days from 24 October – 1 November 2020. It allows exhibitors maximum flexibility to change their messages and promotions on a regular basis throughout the period. And of course, it is not subject to health, travel or weather constraints! So anyone can participate wherever they are in the world. Furthermore it is FREE entry for exhibitors and visitors alike.
Residents and property owners in Portugal should put the dates in their diaries and visit www.betterlivingportugal.com from 24 October – 1 November, coming back as often as they please during that period to explore the large variety of products and services on offer and to ensure they get the best available for their lives and interests in Portugal.
