The Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK is a market-led organisation active in both Portugal and the UK. It promotes and supports two-way business initiatives and bi-lateral trade by organising regular seminars, conferences and networking events across several business sectors.

In 1997 he set up and ran his own independent financial services company in Central London. In 2000 Matthew left the UK to embark on a career in international financial services that took him to Madrid and then on to Lisbon in 2003, where he has settled. He specialises in advising HNWIs on investments and tax planning. A member of the Personal Finance Society, Matthew holds a Diploma in Financial Planning and speaks both Spanish and Portuguese fluently. Matthew is an adviser for Blevins Franks Wealth Management Limited (BFWML) which is registered with the Malta Financial Services Authority. He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

She has worked in financial services since graduating from university, starting her career as a financial consultant with Prudential. She became an area manager with Pearl Assurance before setting up her own independent financial advice practice in 1999, specialising in pension, investment and legacy planning. Having enjoyed visiting the Algarve for over twenty years, she decided to sell her business and make a permanent move there, joining the local Blevins Franks team.

A member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and the Personal Finance Society (PFS), Sharon holds the diploma in financial planning. She also has advanced qualifications in pensions, taxation, and trusts, specialising in long-term care planning.

He has a Degree in Economics, from the Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra and holds a post-graduation in Portuguese Taxation from Overgest/ISCTE (Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa). Luís has extensive experience in providing consultancy services to major Portuguese and multinational companies as well as to private clients, namely on personal income tax and Portuguese social security.

He develops a significant part of his work to public procurement and public contracts, urban planning, environmental matters, expropriations, and administrative litigation. He has wide experience in the real estate sector, construction, and public works, participating regularly in arbitration matters related to the execution of public and private works contracts.

Miguel is a regular speaker in seminars and conferences in Portugal and the author of several articles for national and foreign publications.

His long experience makes him ideally placed to negotiate property purchases for his clients. While considering early retirement, John became so enthusiastic about the benefits of Portugal that he relocated there in 2016, and in 2020 he became permanently resident in Madeira. With his retirement now postponed indefinitely, John advises others on how to make their own move successful via his new company Émigré and its sister online visa service Digital Émigré.

Having spent a considerable amount of his working life dealing in the foreign exchange, bond and equity markets, he specialises in the structuring and management of investment portfolios and pension assets. A strong advocate of holistic financial advice and tailored investment advice, Paul offers private clients, companies and trusts a complete solution to their financial planning requirements. He specialises in expat financial advice.
As well as looking after the wealth management needs of high-net-worth clients, Paul has been busy developing the Fiduciary Wealth brand into a complete cross-border tax and wealth management advisory service for expatriate clients. In recent years he has been focusing his efforts on developing tax mitigation strategies as part of an overall wealth management service to expats.

Tânia has worked in the accounting department, fiscal analysis and legal sector- which has given her a more complete know-how in order to assist foreign investors in Madeira and also help Portuguese who want to expand in the international market;

Prior to that, Alexandre was a buy side Analyst focused on Emerging Markets Equities at Global Emerging Markets Group in New York. He also worked as an Associate at Magna Group Capital Management, focusing on US equities in the biotech, mining, and oil & gas industries. Before moving to Portugal, Alexandre was based in the United States, India, China, and Romania, working on various projects.
Alexandre holds an MBA Degree in International Business from the Baruch College in New York, as well as a Master’s degree in Management & Entrepreneurship from the Superior Institute of Management of Paris. He also completed exchange programs in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing. He speaks English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and basic Japanese.

Jorge started his career in real estate in 2015 when he moved to the Algarve. In 2018, he joined Fine & Country as the General Manager of the central Algarve office in Almancil.
As a web and online marketing expert with a passion for photography, Jorge combines his role in management with working as a marketing and property consultant assisting the F&C team.

In his spare time, Jorge enjoys combining his love for photography with aviation and travel and is an avid plane spotter.

Patricia worked in London in account management for an international group, building expert sales and operations teams, before founding Global Citizen Solutions. She has recently published the book “How to Buy a Property in Portugal” via GCS’s sister company, Goldcrest Homes.
