Christina has been the General Manager at the Chamber since 2009.

She started her career in advertising and media relations, working first in London before moving to Lisbon, where she spent 10 years living and working in advertising and media related businesses.

Having built a successful book and contract magazine publishing business in Portugal, with offices in Lisbon and the Algarve, in 1996 she sold the business and returned to London. She then continued her career in magazine and book publishing, working in senior roles at the Hemming Group, Archant Specialist Media, Virgin Books, and Bath-based publishers Merricks Media.

She became a director of the Chamber in 2006.

Christina runs the Moving to Portugal seminars and introduces the speakers.
The Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK is a market-led organisation active in both Portugal and the UK. It promotes and supports two-way business initiatives and bi-lateral trade by organising regular seminars, conferences and networking events across several business sectors.
Matthew Krystman

Matthew has been working in the financial services industry since he graduated from university in 1995. He began his career at a major UK life and pensions organisation before becoming an independent financial adviser a year later.
In 1997 he set up and ran his own independent financial services company in Central London. In 2000 Matthew left the UK to embark on a career in international financial services that took him to Madrid and then on to Lisbon in 2003, where he has settled. He specialises in advising HNWIs on investments and tax planning. A member of the Personal Finance Society, Matthew holds a Diploma in Financial Planning and speaks both Spanish and Portuguese fluently. Matthew is an adviser for Blevins Franks Wealth Management Limited (BFWML) which is registered with the Malta Financial Services Authority. He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
Sharon Farrell

Sharon joined Blevins Franks in 2019, bringing over 29 years’ worth of experience in wealth management and family legacy planning.
She has worked in financial services since graduating from university, starting her career as a financial consultant with Prudential. She became an area manager with Pearl Assurance before setting up her own independent financial advice practice in 1999, specialising in pension, investment and legacy planning. Having enjoyed visiting the Algarve for over twenty years, she decided to sell her business and make a permanent move there, joining the local Blevins Franks team.

A member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and the Personal Finance Society (PFS), Sharon holds the diploma in financial planning. She also has advanced qualifications in pensions, taxation, and trusts, specialising in long-term care planning.

Luís is a Senior Manager in the People & Organisation and Private Wealth Department in PwC's Lisbon office.
He has a Degree in Economics, from the Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra and holds a post-graduation in Portuguese Taxation from Overgest/ISCTE (Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa). Luís has extensive experience in providing consultancy services to major Portuguese and multinational companies as well as to private clients, namely on personal income tax and Portuguese social security.
Miguel Lorena Brito

Miguel Lorena Brito joined Eversheds Sutherland FCB in 2002 and became a Partner in 2007. He co-coordinates the Public, Administrative and Environmental Law, and the Real Estate, Property, and Construction Departments.
He develops a significant part of his work to public procurement and public contracts, urban planning, environmental matters, expropriations, and administrative litigation. He has wide experience in the real estate sector, construction, and public works, participating regularly in arbitration matters related to the execution of public and private works contracts.

Miguel is a regular speaker in seminars and conferences in Portugal and the author of several articles for national and foreign publications.

John has had a successful 50-year career in the property investment and wealth management business, during which a highlight was selling his estate agency chain to Prudential. Based in Marylebone, Chelsea, and the City of London, at its peak his wealth management practice served 119 clients with £600m-worth of assets under management
His long experience makes him ideally placed to negotiate property purchases for his clients. While considering early retirement, John became so enthusiastic about the benefits of Portugal that he relocated there in 2016, and in 2020 he became permanently resident in Madeira. With his retirement now postponed indefinitely, John advises others on how to make their own move successful via his new company Émigré and its sister online visa service Digital Émigré.

A strong advocate of holistic financial advice and tailored investment advice, Paul offers private clients, companies and trusts a complete solution to their financial planning requirements. He specialises in expat financial advice.
As well as looking after the wealth management needs of high-net-worth clients, Paul has been busy developing the Fiduciary Wealth brand into a complete cross-border tax and wealth management advisory service for expatriate clients. In recent years he has been focusing his efforts on developing tax mitigation strategies as part of an overall wealth management service to expats.
Tânia Castro

Tânia Castro is the general manager of TPMc for the past 17 years, with a large experience in international structuring and foreign investment;
Tânia has worked in the accounting department, fiscal analysis and legal sector- which has given her a more complete know-how in order to assist foreign investors in Madeira and also help Portuguese who want to expand in the international market;
She collaborates often with the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in UK, with the French Chamber of Commerce in Portugal and also with the Russian chamber of commerce in Portugal. Additionally writes in several Portuguese newspapers and monthly magazines about the fiscal changes in Portugal and the investment possibilities;
With a team of 55 people working in the most seral sectors: administrative, legal, accounting, fiscal, human resources, EU and National fundings, TPMc follows all clients in the several aspects of the daily activities – serving as a guide for the Portuguese side of question;
For the past years TPMc has been working with UK residents , since the Brexit, following the visa and residency questions, but also helping with the administrative items of the country´s change and the fiscal side.

Prior to joining Nomad, Alexandre was a Founding Partner of Optylon Capital, a Portugal based leading Real Estate Investment and Promotion company.
Alexandre was also a Financial Professional at AXA US and Managing Partner at French Desk Capital Management in New York City. Prior to that, Alexandre was a buy side Analyst focused on Emerging Markets Equities at Global Emerging Markets Group in New York. He also worked as an Associate at Magna Group Capital Management, focusing on US equities in the biotech, mining, and oil & gas industries. Before moving to Portugal, Alexandre was based in the United States, India, China, and Romania, working on various projects.

Jorge was born in Angola but grew up in the beautiful city of Geneva in Switzerland where he completed a degree in Tourism Management. Jorge lived and worked for five years in Ukraine before moving to Portugal in 2012.

Jorge started his career in real estate in 2015 when he moved to the Algarve. In 2018, he joined Fine & Country as the General Manager of the central Algarve office in Almancil.
As a web and online marketing expert with a passion for photography, Jorge combines his role in management with working as a marketing and property consultant assisting the F&C team.

In his spare time, Jorge enjoys combining his love for photography with aviation and travel and is an avid plane spotter.
Ana Abrantes

Ana Abrantes has been the Head of International Sales at Garvetur , one of Portugal’s leading real estate agents, since 2003. After her political sciences degree at Georgetown University, USA, she began working in the tourism and real estate fields.

Now, having built a successful career in business development and sales, Ana co-coordinates Garvetur’s participation in international events and runs Garvetur’s exclusive developments portfolio, as well as their relationships with private equity funds.

In her spare time, Ana enjoys traveling the world and volunteers for Banco Alimentar, Portugal’s national food bank programme.
